Want to do something with your own hands? Create your individual coffee table applying reclaimed pallets. Doing some simple search, you can get excellent wood pallets for nothing. The rest of the materials, such as wood stain, carriage bolts and caster wheels – will cost you inexpensive.
What you need:
- Abrasive paper;
- Caster wheels;
- Wood glue.
“A” pallet – the top of the coffee table. The standard pallet was too large for our living room, so we sawed “A” pallet in half.
“B” pallet – need the slats in order to the top of the table won’t be so gappy.
Put the picked slats between the slats of “A” pallet – this will be the top of the coffee table. Then hammering nails into the slats in order to fix them. Check everywhere that the nails are completely in the wood.
“C” pallet – legs of the table.
Create table legs from the third pallet.
Slats from “C” pallet – strengthening and holder too. Saw the slats – these will strengthen the table and can be also a holder.
Cut a piece of abrasive paper – to the easy polishing use a small piece of slat. Let’s polish the surface of the coffee table smooth.
Paint the surface with wood stain.
Hole where the components will join each other.
Use carriage bolts in order to the coffee table will be durable and fix the parts.
Position the caster wheels and fix them with screws.
And here is an unique coffee table!
